Yes! I AM overwhelmed. I’ve been working crazy hours, coaching my heart out and just finished my podcast (thegrowthmoment.com – official announcement coming soon). It all feels like a flood – like I am drowning in my task lists.
So, here’s the magic perspective shift that came as I was lying awake last night.
Instead of trying to keep my head above water or just swim faster (pick your metaphor), I get to climb out and sit by the river. Here’s what that perspective changed for me. I’m watching, not IN the rushing water, not at its mercy. I can more easily see the bigger picture, where I am heading. And the COOL part – when the anxiety surfaces about missing an opportunity or dropping a ball, I can see that it will all flow back around – in a new way, at a different time. Like the continuum of the water cycle! After my shift – I had an incredibly productive day.
